Towards new sustainable mobility solutions

California is without doubts one of the world’s premier leaders in the transition to electric vehicles. Various California policies, have been critical for stimulating more electric car production and more electric car consumer demand. Today in California the number of public/workplace charging outlets has grown by 652% since 2011, and currently there are 9.000 public and workplace charging points and 12.000 chargers in private residences.
With 250.000 electric vehicles on its highways, California has 40% of the U.S. electric vehicle market. The state of California reached the milestone of a quarter million plug-in electric vehicles on the road since the resurgence of EVs in 2010 and the state is aiming to reach 1 million electric plug-ins by 2020.
